Annie’s Acres

Farm Fresh Produce - Naturally Grown - Stewardship of the Land

September 17, 2009 Newsletter

Between the weather and the economy, I’m not sure which is most spoken of these days.  Our gardens have produced fairly well considering this strange growing season with the coldest July on record.  It is finally giving in to the inevitable however.  We have gone from the shortest, the wettest, and finally the coldest growing seasons for three consecutive years!  We keep hoping for a normal year but have almost forgotten what that looks like!  Many of our hoped for fall produce just didn’t make it through this year so we are nearly at the end of this seasons produce.  We plan on having one more delivery for sure that may contain some tomatoes and some other specialty items such as honey, soap, candles, and granola.  Annie will be delivering that box and be picking up the coolers the same as last year.  We thank you for your understanding and support and hope for a better season next year.

This week’s coolers will contain:

Tomatoes, potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, beets, leeks, zucchini, and peppers.

Your Gardeners,
