These readings are taken from our "Woodlot" home yard. We have found this yard not to be representative of what is going on as it is not doing as well as other locations.

We (bees included) got a late start this |
|
|

year so scale hive readings are not as |

complete as we would have liked. We |
|
|
|
|
|
|
also ran only one scale hive in 2003. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
Swarming was real bad this spring and I |
|
|
|
|
|
|
blamed my management until reports came |
|
|
|
|
|
|
from others with the same problem. Over- |
|
|
|
|
|
|
wintered hives were real uneven in strength |
|
|
|
|
|
|
and many swarm parents were left not |
|
|
|
|
|
|
queen-rite. Not an ideal start to a year. We |
|
|
|
|
|
|
had about 17lbs dandelion flow in June |
